In July 2018, we conducted a training for employees FROM the health center in Zarqa (Jordan). Many thanks to Terre des Hommes Italia in Giordania and Soldier's Families Welfare Society!
Two doctors from Poland - Beata Stecz-Niciak (obstetrician gynecologist) and Jacek Szewczyk (pediatrician) - shared knowledge and skills with Jordanian and Syrian doctors, nurses, pharmacists and field workers (48 people in total). During 11 days of training, participants discussed, among others, about the causes of baby crying, infectious diseases among children, the risk associated with early marriages, causes of infertility and chronic abdominal and pelvic pain in pregnancy.
The project ‘Support to the basic medical care, mother, neonate and child care as well as improvement of hygiene conditions for the local community, displaced persons and Syrian refugees in Zarqa Governorate in Jordan’ is co-financed within the framework of the Polish Development Cooperation Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
