Center in Termanin, which has been operating since April 2018, accepts new patients constantly. According to Dr. Mansour Alatrash, who coordinates PMM projects in Syria, the majority of those in need of orthopedic assistance are women and children who have lost their limbs directly as a result of bombing or because of bombing injuries. Poorly supplied and treated wounds did not heal properly and after some time amputations were necessary - these were not always carried out properly in wartime conditions. Orthopedists and physiotherapists who work in Termanin often have a difficult task to bring the limb into physical condition despite complicated injuries and provide a prosthesis that will make the patient's life easier.
