Good news from Senegal
At the end of June PMM has finished next, very important stage in our project in Senegal - refurbishment in St. Laurent Health Center.
On the 30th of June, with a presence of chargé d'affaires of Polish Embassy in Dakar, Mr Michał Radlicki and President of Poles in West Africa Association, Mrs Barbara Diop, local coordinators has finished two tasks from our project "Increasing the effectivness of profilaxis, diagnostics, and treatment of most common complications in pregnancy through training of local personnel, buying equipment and renovation of health centers in Dakar and Ngohe, Senegal".
During St. Laurent Health Center refurbishment we have fixed and sealed the rooftop, exchanged leaking roof over waiting rooms in atrium, exchanged sanitary equipment and repainted whole room. Renovation was finished in May. In June fit-out and cleaning works have been performed. Health Center was equipped with ultrasound for pregnant ladies and haematology equipment.
St. Laurent Health Center admit daily 150 to 300 patients. It's offering adult, children and pregnant ladies consultations, changing dressings, blood test. In the health center you will find day-ward (outpatients) where drips can be given to those who mostly need it.
We're very happy that we managed to finish the renovation before approaching rainy season and to provide continuity of treatment through the whole year.
