Children from Dharampur go to school. “Aid for Arunachal” Programme
Thanks to the support from sponsors and the Polish Medical Mission, it was possible to finance school tuition fees and hostel accommodation in the school year 2016/2017 for 7 children from the village of Dharampur, Arunachal Pradesh state (India). These children come from poor families who cannot afford to educate them. They belong to the Chakma tribe – Buddhist refugees from the territories of Bangladesh. They are stateless people, deprived of any government support exposed to social discrimination.
The programme is coordinated by PMM volunteer Maria Strzemieczna.
