In April, PMM re-launched the Orthopedic Center in Termanin in Syria. Thanks to the money donated by the Department of Humanitarian Aid of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the center can accept patients again.
According to Dr. Mansour Alatrash, who coordinates PMM projects in Syria, the center is working more and more. Already over 80 people who lost their limbs received prostheses. Thanks to this they can walk and return to normality. "Patients are happy because they have found those who support them," says Dr. Alatrash. The services provided at the center include orthopedic consultations, physiotherapy, patient transport, catering, hygiene kits and, above all, prosthesis placement.
