In Myanmar, we are implementing the next stage of the project Myanmar – obstetric and educational activities, medical and WASH activities in the region of the Irawadi Delta.’ . Małgorzata Olasińska-Chart, projects coordinator and WASH educator is BY the Irawadi River and visits villages in the state of Wakema. The main problem of the inhabitants is a proper water treatment,
which they fetch directly from the river. The river is contaminated with all waste from households and manufacturing companies, including rice flour producers. Adults and children suffer from diarrhoea, hepatitis and skin diseases, as the river serves everyone for bathing, cleaning and washing. Meeting with village elders and women will help to plan PMM's hygiene and
water treatment activities in 2018.
The Project co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
