Yesterday was the end of the project aimed at helping victims of the armed conflict in Syria, accomplished by Plan Planeta in collaboration with the Polish Medical Mission, which consisted in supporting hospitals in Aleppo and Idlib and providing them with medical equipment and medications.
Thanks to the people who shopped at Plan Planeta, medical aid at hospitals in Aleppo and Idlib was and will be received by 95 people injured in the armed conflict in Syria.
Plan Planeta wrote:
“Even though the situation there is beyond any imagination, each one of us is surely able to realise how needed medical assistance is there now. At Syrian hospitals, there is a shortage of general anaesthetics, antibiotics and dressings. One of the greatest needs are prostheses. Because of untreated infections and wounds, a lot of children and teenagers had to have their arms or legs amputated. The Polish Medical Mission along with local doctors are attempting to address the most urgent needs.
Thanks to this project we all had an opportunity to be part of these efforts and to demonstrate objection to the atrocities of the war as well as solidarity with its victims.”
Thank you for supporting our actions!
