In August 2017, the Polish Medical Mission launched the project "Support for maternal, neonatal and infant health care and medical education for local communities, displaced persons and Syrian refugees in the Zarqa province in Jordan." The project is co-financed by the Department of Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project partner will be Terre Des Hommes Italy.
70% of the beneficiaries of our project will be refugees and internally displaced persons, and 30% will be local population. We want to increase the availability of qualified medical care for them. We will take care of pregnant and postnatal women as well as newborns and children who will be subjected to control examination and, when appropriate, directed to specialist medical centers. At the same time, medical staff and a pharmacist and other staff members: social workers and Syrian volunteers will be prepared to work in the health center. We will keep you updated on the progress of the project.
